It closed at Imola a “weekend” complex for the Italian Gran Turismo Championship in 2016.

It ‘was a weekend very complex to Imola, scene of the second round of the Italian Gran Turismo Championship 2016, certainly influenced by extreme weather conditions, with a hot summer on Friday and Saturday, while on Sunday was the so heavy rain to condition the dispute of the second race.
Saturday, the day dedicated to the qualifications Bontempelli Lorenzo, in the second practice session, managed to qualify the Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 run by Team Drive Technology Italy in the sixth row, just as he had done Francesca Linossi during the first qualifying session. In the afternoon Imola, characterized by temperatures of over thirty degrees went to stage a race over a distance of forty-eight minutes and one lap. The first half saw the success of the Lamborghini Huracan Bertolotti-Mul (Imperial Racing), while the number 23 Nissan has closed its test in eleventh place overall ahead of the Ferrari 458 Italy GT3 Team Malucelli.
Sunday morning took place the second race started behind “safety car” to the heavy rain which swept on the track of Santerno from the earliest hours of the morning. After a few laps behind the safety car, the return to the “pit lane” of the latter and the green light has given the “real” way to complicated by competition from the impossible conditions of the track. Huge pools of water have betrayed almost all the competitors finished in “head-tail” or who even in the barriers victims of aquaplaning. Archived Imola and its extreme climatic conditions , the overall classification conductors of class Super GT3 sees Bortolotti / Mul head with the Lamborghini Huracan Imperiale Racing , followed in second place by Mapelli / Albuquerque with the Audi R8 LMS of Audi Sport Italy separated by only one point . Bontempelli and Linossi are in seventh place , ahead of Mancinelli / Geri (Easy Race) , Comandini / Cerqui ( Team Roal ) and other crews .
The next round of the Italian GT Championship 2016 is scheduled for the second weekend in June in Misano Adriatico , which will host the third exciting race of the season .
