Spa-Francorchamps, Sunday, July 31, 2016
It has just completed the “24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, the fourth round of the season for the Blancpain Endurance Series, which has seen among its SBM Agency protagonists. That 2016 was a year that saw numerous interventions of the” safety car “as a result of the many showers that have interssato the race, in addition to the virtual safety car intervened several times after some runway excursions that occurred in the course of twenty four hours.
We must say that was not a particularly successful edition for SBM Agency, which was racing with two cars: the Ferrari 488 GT3 AF Corse crewed format from Japanese Motoaki, by Lorenzo Bontempelli, Olivier Beretta and Giancarlo Fisichella, while the Lamborghini Huracan Team Ombra Racing took turns at driving Matteo Beretta, Giovanni Berton, Stefano Costantini and Stefano Gattuso. The away like always spectacular saw the protagonists on the Belgian track over sixty cars of GT3 class. After a good Fisichella’s initial idea and the next driver change, Ferrari conducted at that time by Motoaki was involved in a collision generated by Porsche dell’Attempto Racing shortly after the exit from the pits. Bang violent, useless car and retire after just one and a half hour race.
Just it got better went to the crew of Team Shadow who finished the race in seventeenth place in the class “PRO-AM” an attaché extremely difficult by the numerous interruptions for runway excursions occurred during the Belgian marathon, as well as for the weather which the management of the race made it complicated for drivers and teams.
Archived the trip to Spa-Francorchamps the next round of the Blancpain Endurance Series is scheduled on the track at the Nürburgring for the event that will close the endurance season on the German circuit over the weekend of 17 and 18 September.
