With matches played at the weekend on the track of the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello the curtain falls on the first part of the season of the Italian GT Championship in 2016, the league began in early May in Monza, and which saw the protagonists do battle even at Imola and Misano Adriatico, before the end of the Mugello racing week. An appointment that the latter saw two races with the favor of the much summer weather, although rain did not fail to disturb cars and competitors, featuring two free practice sessions on Friday. In particular the Friday morning practice session began with a wet and then went wiping, while in the afternoon, the second session was even interrupted at about half of their conduct for a storm that affected the Tuscan track, causing the output of the track of numerous competitors.

Friday for the teams and drivers of SGT3 and GT3 classes was the day of greater commitment, because after the practice sessions, have condensed the two qualifying sessions with Nissan Nismo GT3 Bontempelli and Francesca Linossi in fifteenth place in the first session while in the second the car assisted by Drive Technology recorded the twelfth overall.

Race one went on stage Saturday, reported the success of the Lamborghini Huracan of the Imperial Team with the crew Di Folco / Agostini. For Bontempelli reached the eighth place finish behind the Aston Martin of the Solaris team Mugelli / Sini and in front of the Lamborghini Ebimotors with Busnelli / Babini and the Ferrari 458 GT3 of the team Baldini Leo / Cheever. In race two, little progress in the standings with seventh place under the checkered flag in a whole other race comeback from the back, but still with a certain distance from the podium. After at Mugello, the ranking of the class Super GT3 is headed Mapelli / Albuquerque drivers Audi Sport Italy, in front of Gai / Venturi Black Bull team trailing by five points by class leader. Bontempelli and Francesca Linossi are currently in ninth place, just preceded by Mancinelli, in front of Pezzucchi / Venturini and Geri, Romanelli and Montermini.

The next round of the races of the Italian GT Championship in 2016 is fixed after the summer holidays, the weekend of 10 and 11 September on the Roman track of Vallelunga back on track the beautiful GT cars which will then be the protagonists of the fifth round of the championship season.
